Guercino & Sax

DESCRIPTION

Piacenza celebrates Guercino, one of the most representative artists of the late Baroque, with highly evocative initiatives from 4th March to 4th June.

You will have the unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to climb up inside the Cathedral’s Dome to admire Guercino frescos from a very close distance. You will find yourself in a privileged point with an unparalleled close-up of the frescos and a bird’s-eye view perception of the Cathedral’s imposing volume.

After the visit, enjoy an aperitivo in the historic café of Piacenza, located under the arches of the main square, Piazza Cavalli. A glass of sparkling wine from Colli Piacentini and a sumptuous aperitivo buffet will wait for you.

Galleria Alberoni will host REGINA CARTER 4ET “Simply Ella” jazz concert in the magnificent Sala degli Arazzi. This is one of the leading events of Piacenza Jazz Festival 2017; you be enchanted by Regina violin celebrating Ella Fitzgerald.
